You may come cross Read Only Protection option when you connected a Pen Drive to your desktop, to clear this option simply follow below steps:
1. From Start menu type CMD option.
2. On Command Prompt, now type diskpart.
3. Now type List Disk in the prompt.
4. Now write USB disk number, to know number of USB disk right click on connected USB drive in windows explorer then click on Hardware.
5. Now type Attributes disk clear read only and hit enter.
6. Wait for the process to begin.
